I was born in Bogota, Colombia and grew up in New York. I have a MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and am on the screenwriting faculty at California State University, Sacramento.

I fell in love with photography when I lived as a 20-something in San Francisco-a city which is a photographer’s dream. At the time I was lugging around a Pentax K1000 and secretly wanted to be a photojournalist… and in some ways, I still do!
